Based in Brooklyn, Highly Suspect are gearing up for their brand new album, Mister Asylum, set for release on July 14. Packed with nonstop, unadulterated rock and roll, Mister Asylum showcases the sheer intensity of the burgeoning trio.

Today (April 1), Diffuser is excited to give fans a peek behind-the-scenes of the making of the record’s second track, “Lost” -- check out the in-studio video above.

“’Lost’ is a song I wrote about a breakup I was going through," bassist Rich Meyer explains. Even though it's a simple concept, it's one nearly all listeners will be able to relate to. “It’s kind of about trying to make something work that you know just isn’t going to work.”

Mister Asylum will hit the streets in July via 300 Entertainment. You can pre-order the disc -- and pick up "Lost" and another new track, "Lydia" -- via iTunes. Coming off a successful run throughout SXSW, Highly Suspect are slated to appear at this year's installment of Rock on the Range. Make sure to stay up-to-date with their tour itinerary here.
