It Looks Like Foo Fighters Will Actually Be David Letterman’s Final Musical Guest
It’s no surprise that Letterman loves Dave Grohl and the boys; last year, they spent an entire week playing on the Late Show stage and in 2000, the Foos performed “Everlong” for the host after he had to take five weeks off for an emergency quintuple bypass surgery. He called it his “favorite song” by his “favorite band.”
Foo Fighters made their television debut with Letterman in 1995 when they performed “This Is a Call” -- since then, they’ve been constant friends of the show.
Tonight’s (May 20) career finale will likely be an unconventional show, though it’s promised to be packed full of surprises. We can't wait to see what Letterman and his crew have up their sleeves, and we can't wait to see how Grohl and company say their goodbyes ... we're guessing it will be emotional and energetic, and the volume will need to be cranked to 11.
