Indie/alternative rapper Ivan Ives -- originally from Russia, now based in Los Angeles -- follows in the grand tradition of the Beastie Boys and Eminem. In other words, he’s not your grandmama’s hip-hop star.

Boasting an impressive rate of RPM (rhymes per millisecond), Ives’ latest full-length album, ‘Stranger,’ drops today and features cameos from from Blueprint, Roots affiliate Greg Porn and Aaron Livingston. Most notably, the disc was produced by underrated auteur RJD2 and Aaron Marsh of indie band Copeland.

In what can only be described as a tag-team effort (think Hulk Hogan and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka), Diffuser.fm and TheDrop.fm proudly present this exclusive premiere of the decidedly Daft Punk-esque video for Ives’ brand-spanking-new single ‘Higher.’
