In anticipation of his April 17 ‘Jack Johnson and Friends - Best of Kokua Festival,’ Jack Johnson has pulled a video out of the vault featuring a past live performance of one of the songs on the new disc titled ‘Mudfootball.’ This particular performance was from Johnson’s 2005 Kokua Festival performance with special guests G. Love and Ozomatli. Watch the live video below to get a true taste of the island life!

‘Jack Johnson and Friends - Best of Kokua Festival’ features some of the best live tracks from Johnson’s charitable Kokua Festival over the last six years. There’s no shortage of VIP collaborations either, from Eddie Vedder performing ‘Constellations’ with Johnson to Dave Matthews and Johnson joining forces to cover Jimmy Buffett’s ‘Pirates Look At  Forty.’ The 13-song compilation supports a cause near and dear to Johnson’s heart, promoting and funding environmental education throughout the Hawaii school systems.

Johnson will also be setting out on a seven-show, all-acoustic tour of the Hawaiian Islands with stops in Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. All proceeds from both the tour and the new disc will go towards the Kokua Hawaii Foundation. But if you’re hoping to score a ticket to one of the acoustic shows that will also feature John Cruz and Paula Fuga, it’s already too late. All the shows have sold out! However, you can still show your support for this great cause though by pre-ordering the new CD here and having your own island party.
