Jack White Posts Best Photo Ever with Paul Simon and Eddie Vedder
As if Jack White wasn’t having a cool enough year — not only did he release his second solo album this year, but it quickly became the best-selling vinyl in the last 20 years — he had to go and post the above picture on Third Man Records’ official Instagram account yesterday (Aug. 27).
As you can see, there’s simply too much rock in this single photo. Donning a Seattle baseball jersey, White is standing in the middle of two iconic rockers: the legendary Paul Simon and the inimitable Eddie Vedder (who, by the way, is wearing a Detroit jersey).
It’s no surprise that White found himself at Safeco Field, the Seattle Mariners’ stadium. Throughout his entire ‘Lazaretto’ tour, the blues-soaked fuzz-rocker has made it a point to immerse himself in America’s favorite pastime. Just a few days ago, while in California, he snapped a picture at the Oakland A’s coliseum (alongside Baseball Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson):
No matter what he does or where he goes, though, he always seems to do whatever he can to make sure his shows start on time. As he boarded his tour bus yesterday, Third Man shared the below picture with the caption, “Leaving Safeco Field. 4 hours till show, 3 1/2 hour drive to Troutdale…we hope.”
White played the McEnamins Historic Edgefield Manor in Troutdale, Oreg. last night (Aug. 27). He heads to Canada for the next few days followed by his headlining gig at this year’s Farm Aid Festival in Raleigh, N.C. For his complete tour schedule, visit White’s official website here.
