The 55th Annual Grammy Awards just got White-washed. That's right, guitarist and former White Stripes leader Jack White will take the stage at this year's Grammys, which air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10.

White, who has already collected nine Grammy statues in his storied career -- in addition to reigning supreme at this year's Diffuser Awards -- is nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Rock Album for his solo debut, last year's 'Blunderbuss.' He was likely going to show up anyway to pick up his Grammys in person, should he win -- why not perform while he's there, right? It's an efficient use of his time.

White's song 'Freedom at 21' is also up for the Best Rock Song award, so he could very well clean up at the ceremony. Fingers crossed that he makes a killing.

Details of his performance are unclear at press time, but here's hoping he engages in some sort of collaboration with fellow guitarists. The Grammys are always a ripe breeding ground for those types of once-in-a-lifetime gatherings. White performed at the ceremony in 2004 as a member of the White Stripes.
