Jack White Sprains Ankle, No Plans to Postpone Tour

If you’re one of those people who hates it when your friends put pics of their gross injuries online, then this post probably isn’t for you. While playing in San Francisco last night (Aug. 22), road dog Jack White sprained his ankle. He is apparently soldiering on with the tour, though, despite pressure to rest his injury.

Third Man Record’s Instagram posted a photo of what we’re assuming is White’s bruised ankle. As you might expect, it isn’t pretty.

During that same show, White continued his — and every other band’s — trend of covering a popular tune when he played a short version of his buddy Beck‘s ‘Devil’s Haircut.’ To check out the snippet of the Beck tune, skip ahead to roughly the 10:45 mark in the video below:

The former White Stripes frontman has covered ‘Devil’s Haircut’ before, and he joined Beck onstage back in July to play ‘Loser’ and ‘Where It’s At.’
