On Aug. 4, Jane's Addiction will release Ritual de lo Habitual Alive at 25, a home video that captures the band's concert honoring the 25th anniversary of that landmark album. That same day, it will debut on Pay-Per-View and Video on Demand services on cable systems across the U.S.

The concert will be available until Sept. 3. with a suggested price of $3.99 for standard definition and $4.99 for high definition. You can go to In Demand's website to find out when it will premiere on your system, and also see a 15-minute preview video.

As we reported last month, the 85-minute concert contains a full-album performance of Ritual de lo Habitual and a few other hits, and was filmed at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif., on May 30, 2015. Interviews with the band members are featured in between the songs.

After launching the tour in 2015, Jane's Addiction carried the Ritual de lo Habitual tour into the next year, concluding with a headlining set at Lollapalooza, the festival founded by frontman Perry Farrell. But there were some challenges involved in playing some of the record's more obscure tracks.

“In preparing for the tour, I had to re-learn quite a bit of the album,” guitarist Dave Navarro said. “It was inspiring to undo some of the rules we have become used to in our later years and get back in touch with a more expansive and unorthodox approach. Staying in this mindset made for an extra special celebration tour and we were oddly able to become our own inspiration…The students teaching the masters.”
