Exclusive Premiere: Jenn Grant, ‘Wild Animal’

On May 19, Jenn Grant will celebrate the U.S. release of her latest studio album, Compostela. Already out in her home, the album has yielded two major Canadian music award nominations for Grant: Adult Alternative Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, both for the 2015 Junos.

Today (April 30), Diffuser is excited to team up with Grant to premiere the official music video for "Wild Animal," Compostela's ninth track -- check it out above.

The song is a perfect representation of Grant's inherent talents; her pristine vocals are built on top of beautiful musical arrangements, making for a song that will no doubt find you hitting "repeat" multiple times.

Grant tells us the tune stems from a lot of places, "but I wrote it in the camper trailer next to my house after watching the documentary on Sixto Rodriguez, Searching for Sugarman."

As for the accompanying visuals, she explains, "This video footage started to come together from when I was touring across Australia with my husband, producer Daniel Ledwell. We filmed some more stuff together at home and it turned into an '80s punk kind of thing."
