Jim James, ‘Know ‘Til Now’ – New Video

For some reason, we get the feeling that My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James' new video for 'Know ‘Til Now,' the first single off his forthcoming solo album ‘Regions of Light and Sound of God,' is an attempt to emphasize the inherent solitude of the solo experience. Perhaps it's the fact that the entire six-minute-plus clip features nothing more than flickering, black-and-white video footage of the outline of James' back?

Last week James announced a Feb. 5 release date for ‘Regions of Light and Sound of God' and offered up a free MP3 download of 'Know ‘Til Now,' available here. The disc -- a true solo effort, with James playing every instrument himself -- is currently available for pre-order in digital, CD, vinyl and deluxe edition formats at JimJames.com.
