My Morning Jacket’s Jim James Announces Tour Dates + Solo Album Stream

My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James is gearing up for a North American tour to accompany the release of his solo debut, ‘Regions of Light and Sound of God.' The album is due out Feb. 5 via ATO Records, but you can stream it in full over at NPR.

James made the following announcement on his official website: "hello friends! i have put together a special band of some of my oldest pals to help bring this album to life on the road! we are very excited about it and cant wait to bring it to light! see ya out on the open road!"

Presale tickets will be made available to members of Roll Call – My Morning Jacket’s fan club – starting on Wednesday (Jan. 30) at 12PM EST. Tickets go on sale to the general public this weekend.

In other news, James is scheduled to perform on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ backed by house band the Roots on Feb. 4 and 5.
