They may seem like a rather unusual couple, given that one of them is a harp-wielding indie-avant-folk musician and the other is a goofball who released a movie with Adam Sandler last year, but Joanna Newsom and Andy Samberg have been happily dating for the last five years -- and now they're engaged to be married.

Us Weekly broke the news after eagle-eyed photographers at the Indie Spirit Awards (which Samberg emceed over the weekend) spotted Newsom sporting a diamond on her finger. The magazine reached out to Samberg's representatives, who confirmed the betrothal.

No date has been announced for the nuptials, but the duo's pending ascent into domestic bliss likely means that Newsom fans -- who have already been waiting three years for a follow-up to her last album, 2010's 'Have One on Me' -- will be jonesing for new music for awhile. Never exactly prolific (she went four years between 'Have One' and its predecessor, 'Ys'), she's going to have some distractions keeping her from writing new material in the months to come -- although it's worth noting that she debuted a pair of new songs, 'The Diver's Wife' and 'Look and Despair,' on the road last year.

As for Samberg, he's as busy as ever, with a comedy pilot in development at Fox and three films ('The To Do List,' 'Grown Ups 2,' and 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2') scheduled to arrive in theaters throughout 2013.
