Watch Karen O and N.A.S.A.’s Animated Video for ‘I Shot the Sheriff’

Karen O has been relatively quiet since the release of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ ‘Mosquito’ album last year. But if you watched the Grammys a couple months ago, you may have heard her singing an old Bob Marley song in a commercial.

Her cover of ‘I Shot the Sheriff,’ a collaboration with Los Angeles hip-hop duo N.A.S.A., originally appeared in a Sonos ad during the Grammys. But they’ve just expanded their version with a brand-new video by animator San Charoenchai.

It’s way more fun than the commercial. Watch it above.

The neon tones and minimalist imagery recall some Gorillaz videos, but that may be because we’ve got ‘Clint Eastwood’ on our mind right now.
