Is Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O in over her head with her upcoming debut solo album, 'Crush Songs'? If her Oscar-nominated song for Spike Jonze's 'Her' is any indication, probably not. But she definitely is in over her head in the video for the lead single, 'Rapt.'

Directed by her husband, Barney Clay, with production design by K.K. Barrett (also nominated for an Oscar for his work in 'Her'), the minimalistic, two-minute clip is fixed on Karen O suspended underwater.

Although all 15 tracks on the album were written and recorded between 2006 and 2007, the singer said in a note posted on her website that they all revolve around an ongoing central theme.

“When I was 27, I crushed a lot. I wasn’t sure I’d ever fall in love again," she said. "These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours.”

'Crush Songs,' produced by the Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas and released on his label Cult Records, is set to drop Sept. 9. You can pre-order it here.
