The Yeah Yeah Yeahs might need maps to find their way back to each other.

Frontwoman Karen O recently told NME the Brooklyn outfit are on "a bit of a hiatus" and that they have no solid plans to record until they're inspired. "We have to wait to get the urge, get that itch," she said. "The time needs to be right and we're OK waiting for that, I think," she said, adding that when the band do get back together "it'll be like muscle memory, this unspoken thing between the three of us where it all just… locks in."

Of course, the singer released her debut solo album, 'Crush Songs,' in September, prompting rumors of a rift among the three members of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. But she clarified that the album was never a response to anything with her day job. "It was just me trying to express all the f---ed-up s--t I felt," she said. "Even when the whole thing was a done deal, like two weeks before the record came out, I was having second thoughts, like, 'No! What am I doing?! Is it too late to put the brakes on?!' It's a big thing to bare yourself to the world on your own […] It just took a while to commit to the idea of sharing something so personal."
