Upon its initial release on March 15, 2015, Kendrick Lamar's oft-hailed album To Pimp a Butterfly was released only on CD and digital formats, and those wanting a copy of the album on vinyl were out of luck. It was recently announced that that will change on Oct. 2, when the album will finally be released on vinyl via Top Dawg Entertainment.

It doesn't appear that there will be any bonus tracks or vinyl-exclusive goodies at the moment, and it seems that album's original 16 tracks will be spread across two LPs. However, the news is still fresh, so that may be subject to change. The record is currently available for pre-order for $27.99 here.

Meanwhile, Lamar's music video for "Alright" and Taylor Swift's video for "Bad Blood," in which he is featured, are up for MTV Video Music Awards. Speaking of music videos, Lamar also just released a new one for "For Free (Interlude)" a few days ago, which you can watch below:
