Kings of Leon have lined up the first leg of the tour in support of their new album Walls, out today (Oct. 14).

The initial run of dates is scheduled to begin Jan. 12 in Maryland and continue through the end of the month, when the band's currently announced shows wrap up in Los Angeles on Jan. 28. Other stops include New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago.

As previously reported, the sessions for Walls found the band members looking to make a change after falling into what they felt was a creative rut. "There comes a point when you realize you’ve lost that passion and that hunger," singer Caleb Followill explained. "You’re chastened and want to get it back — and in order to get it back it’s like, ‘Forget about record sales, forget about the size of the venue you’re playing, forget about any of that stuff.'"

Tickets for Kings of Leon's 2017 tour will be available to Citi cardholders through the bank's Private Pass program starting Oct. 18, with sales opening up to the general public on Oct. 21.
