In a new interview, Krist Novoselic spoke to Spin founder Bob Guccione Jr. about Kurt Cobain’s 1994 suicide and speculated where, if given the chance, Nirvana would be today.

The interview is the second in a two-part video series for Spin. In the fist interview, which you can watch below, Novoselic reflected on an article he wrote for the magazine in 1993 about the Croatian-Serbian war.

In the second installment, Novoselic reflects on what the band would be like today if they were still together. “You really never know,” he says. “Maybe we would suck.” With that said, Novoselic points to Dave Grohl’s enduring post-Nirvana success as perhaps a sign of the trio's potential longevity were Cobain still alive. “Look at Foo Fighters,” he says. “Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters are on top of the world, so he kept the flag going for rock and roll. He’s the leading act in the world.”
