The title of Kurt Vile's next album has been revealed via a Philadelphia mural that appears in a photograph posted on the Facebook page of Jesse Trbovich, guitarist for Vile's backing band, the Violators. Trbovich announced the title, 'Wakin on a Pretty Daze,' in a comment accompanying the picture, and Vile's record label, Matador Records, has confirmed the name, reports Consequence of Sound.

The follow-up to 2011's 'Smoke Ring for My Halo' is due out sometime this spring, with longtime Dinosaur Jr. producer and 'Smoke Ring' tracker John Agnello helming the disc. Beachwood Sparks's Farmer Dave Scher, Warpaint's Stella Mozgawa, ex-Royal Trux rocker Jennifer Herrema and Woods frontman Jeremy Earl are all expected to guest on the disc, which Vile has called “our [Fleetwood Mac's] 'Tusk,' but no cheese. Just rock.”

Matador also revealed that mural artwork will be incorporated into the design of the 'Wakin on a Pretty Daze' packaging, although it's not clear what the other words on the wall -- “Alert / Adrift”, “Phone Ringing Off the Shelf,” “Wise Crack” -- mean, or if they're even related.
