"If I said I didn't plan for it to turn out this way, I'd be lying," Lana Del Rey says during the dramatic monologue that opens her new video for 'Ride,' which appears on the deluxe edition of 'Born to Die.' The clip is an homage to living the biker life of freedom on the open road, and while it's a telling line, what it's telling is open to interpretation.

LDR has really been getting into her videos lately, and the 'Ride' clip -- like her recent 'National Anthem' and 'Summertime Sadness' ones before it, which have similar aesthetics -- is an ambitious, epic and perhaps slightly pretentious reel of cinema. "I'm tired of feeling like I'm f---ing crazy/ I'm tired of driving 'til I see stars in my eyes," she sings at one point, delivering the first line with a wild smile and a certain Lindsay Lohan-esque sparkle in her eyes. Is this really the way Rey wanted it to turn out?
