Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn may have ended their Britpop-fueled feud that rampaged throughout the '90s, but Liam Gallagher is still fighting the fight. He took exception to “We Got the Power,” a song from Gorillaz’s upcoming album Humanz, which features guitar and vocals from Noel.

“Now that d— out of Blur and the creepy 1 out of Oasis need to hang there [sic] heads in shame as it's no dancing in the streets as you were,” he tweeted. After someone replied that calling Noel “creepy” wasn’t funny (as opposed to “potato”), Liam responded with, “He's the creepiest soul in the world watch out he's behind you.”

A little while later Liam wrote, “That gobs—e out of blur might have turned noel Gallagher into a massive girl but believe you me nxt [sic] time i see him there's gonna be war.”

Liam’s reaction was more or less predicted by Albarn earlier this week. He and Noel were interviewed about the song, and Albarn sarcastically said, “Of course, no one’s asked Liam what he thinks about the song yet. No doubt he’d have a fantastic one-liner about what a bunch of f—ing knobheads we are.” Noel, for his part, said, “Listen, nobody gives a f— what Liam thinks about anything.”

Humanz will be released tomorrow, April 28. Beginning July 8 in Chicago, Gorillaz will embark on a North American tour that will see them play a mixture of theaters, arenas and outdoor venues. They'll wrap it up in mid-October in Miami. You can see all the dates here.
