Watch the Libertines’ Pete Doherty and Carl Barat Play a Song in the Street

Libertines fans have had lots of reasons to get worked up lately. First, Carl Barat started talking about a reunion, then Pete Doherty confirmed that the band will be playing the Barclaycard British Summer Time festival in London’s Hyde Park in July. The fellows have even mentioned working on some new material, as well as getting some very old material up to snuff.

Then there’s last night’s video. Some lucky fan found Doherty and Barat practicing in the street in Barcelona. They were playing ‘The Domestic,’ one of their older, pre-label tunes.

They seem to be having fun in the video, which is definitely a good sign. This is in line with how they’ve been acting toward each other in the media lately.

All of this makes a full-fledged Libertines reunion seem more likely. We wish the person capturing this video had stuck around a little longer, but maybe he had to go to the bathroom or something.
