Seems like Lily Allen can't go anywhere without kicking up a little controversy. From public feuds with other stars to trash-talking songs about her exes, the British singer and songwriter has built a career on getting people all worked up.

Over the weekend, she posted a photo on her Instagram that shows her being handcuffed by police officers outside of Gold Coast Airport in Queensland, Australia, where she's scheduled to play some shows over the next couple weeks.

Turns out that the photo -- which was accompanied by a simple “#uhoh” -- was a prank. Allen asked the officers who were escorting her to put her in handcuffs for the photo. And now they're in trouble for the little joke, according to the Guardian.

Apparently the incident is now going through some "internal processes," said a police spokesman. "It appears the members involved were caught up in the moment and standard protocols were breached."

The photo has since been removed from Allen's Instagram.

Last week, she released a nostalgic video for her latest single, 'As Long as I Got You,' which features a slideshow of pics spanning Allen's years at the Glastonbury music fest -- from a little girl to her headlining performance last month. You can watch the video here:
