After a relatively quiet 2012, prolific indie-rock singer-songwriter Cass McCombs has just released his first new music since 2011's one-two punch. But don't get too excited, fans. The new song, 'If You Loved Me Before ... ,' is a charity single and not a teaser for a new album.

The single is part of Famous Class' ongoing series, Less Artists More Condos. It's the sixth charity single released in the program, which sends 100 percent "of the digital proceeds going to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music - a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's public schools."

'If You Loved Me Before ... ' recalls the more somber tones of McCombs' two 2011 releases, 'Wit's End' and 'Humor Risk.' The single is available as both a digital download and as a seven-inch vinyl record, which can be purchased here.

The vinyl version of 'If You Loved Me Before ... ' is backed by a new song from NYC psych-rockers White Magic. You can hear McCombs' new song below.
