The Sharknado satirical disaster movie franchise is back with its third installment this July and although killer sharks might not be your thing, the soundtrack just might.

Daniel Davies (son of the Kinks' Dave Davies and godson of legendary director and composer John Carpenter) has joined forces with composer Sebastian Robertson to put their own spin on Pixies’ “Wave of Mutilation” for the movie. Davies replaces guitar riffs with bumpy synths and the track is slowed down a little bit, which compliments Davies' vocals. Check it out here.

“The connection between the flying sharks and the Pixies’ ocean spoke clearly to us and we had a great time recording and arranging the track," Davies told Consequence of Sound. "It was an honor to add our spin to such an inspired song. ‘Wave of Mutilation’ is timeless and we just hope we’ve done it justice.”

The song will be part of a double-A-side digital single with "Shark Attack" and will drop on June 9. You can catch Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! on July 22 on Syfy.
