Are you looking for some seasonal tunes but feeling sick and tired of the overplayed stuff that’s been all over the radio since Nov. 1? Little Anchor’s ‘Heavy Heart’ exudes holiday spirit -- but in a nontraditional way. Take a listen below to Diffuser's exclusive premiere.

We’re digging the snowy vibe permeating the Brooklyn-based indie-pop quartet’s new song. From the twinkling bells in the intro to frontwoman Alexa Cabellon’s crystal-clear vocals and her bandmates’ spirited harmonies and propulsive guitar work, ‘Heavy Hearts’ is the perfect accompaniment for all your winter plans.

“We always joke that ‘Heavy Heart’ is like a warped version of a Christmas song,” Cabellon tells Diffuser.fm. “I think the bell sounds of the Rhodes and the vocal harmonies evoke a wintery feeling, but the song also happened to be written between Thanksgiving and Christmas for a friend who needed some cheering up.”

Keep an eye out for Little Anchor’s debut album, ‘Floating Bridges,’ which lands in February.
