Used to be if you jotted down lyrics for a song then forgot about them for almost half a century, they’d likely stay forgotten forever — but the times they are a-changin’.

Of course, if you’re Bob Dylan, someone might eventually dig up your lost notes and turn them into new original songs — exactly like producer T Bone Burnett did with recently unearthed lyrics Dylan wrote while recording the original ‘Basement Tapes’ in 1967. Burnett handpicked a supergroup — including My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James, Mumford and Sons‘ Marcus Mumford, Dawes‘ Taylor Goldsmith and Elvis Costello – to tackle the songs for the upcoming full-length, ‘Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes,’ set to drop Nov. 11.

Rolling Stone reports the first song released, ‘Nothing To It,’ has lyrics written by a 26-year-old Dylan. James turned the song into a cheerful, psychedlic track featuring both Mumford and Costello on backing vocals. Check out the official lyric video for it below:

‘Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes’ will be available on CD and digital formats as well as a double-LP vinyl edition. With 20 songs on the release, it will be a must-have for any Dylan fan. Learn more about the release and pre-order your preferred format here.
