Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, who lead the Brooklyn-based Lucius, have been friends since college. And at this point, they're pretty much interchangeable, as their hairstyles, voices and clothes reveal.

They attended the Berklee College of Music, where they learned the ins and outs of theory, composition and other crucial parts of a musical education. No doubt it helps them guide Lucius through their spunky, poppy take on indie rock.

They recently stopped by our friends at Consequence of Sound to perform an exclusive version of 'Don't Just Sit There' as part of the #NextUp series presented by Dodge, which highlights emerging artists to watch. You can watch it above.

They also performed 'Nothing Ordinary,' which you can see below.

Lucius have a bunch of shows scheduled this summer, including dates at festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. You can see their full itinerary here.

Wolfe and Laessig also sat down for a chat and talked about listening to classic artists growing up, family's influence on their music and starting their own band. You can watch the interview below.
