Even though Lucius' Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe are known for bringing their powerful vocals to songs, their new cover of an '80s classic takes a more subtle approach.

Listen to their new take on Tears for Fears' 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World':

Instead of going hard with the cover, the New York-based indie-pop group uses synths to build a light foundation for Laessig and Wolfe's seamless harmonies. It's a super-chill take that transports things to a whole new level of mellow.

The song serves as the B-side of Lucius' new 'Genevieve" single. And this isn't the first time that they've dipped back into the '80s. Last month at Governors Ball, they pulled out a version of Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' that was a definite highlight of the weekend-long fest.
