British shoegaze innovators Lush have released their new EP Blind Spotsignaling a period of resurgence for the band. The new music follows their first U.S. tour in 20 years, capped by an appearance at the Coachella in Indio, Calif.

Released by the group's own Edamame label, Blind Spot marks the first new music from Lush since their 1996 single, “500 (Shake Baby Shake).” The four new tracks (“Lost Boy,” “Rosebud,” “Burnham Beeches” and lead single “Out of Control”) were recorded last summer with producers Daniel Hunt and Jim Abbiss and may precede a full-length in the works for later this year.

“It certainly took some time to set up, but once we were in the studio, everything came together incredibly quickly,” said singer-guitarist Miki Berenyi in a statement. “It was great fun! It’s been a long time since I’ve written Lush lyrics, and I realized early on with this EP that what I wrote about then is not what I feel comfortable writing about now. My perspective, and what is close to my heart has changed, and I think that’s conveyed in the songs.”
