M.I.A. was the featured guest on last night’s (Nov. 20) episode of ‘The Colbert Report.’ The English-Sri Lankan artist chatted with Colbert about a range of topics including politics, television and her take on America.

During the interview, M.I.A. revealed that Bob Dylan and Public Enemy as huge inspirations on her after Colbert brought up the political overtones in her own music. The singer also admitted to the host that she doesn’t watch the show since doesn’t watch television, to which Colbert responded to by crying.
