After announcing Mac DeMarco's charity auction last week, scores of fans flooded eBay to get in on the action. As of yesterday evening (Jan. 4), at the close of the auction, the Canadian singer-songwriter raised $21,000.

With all the proceeds going to Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, the lucky winner will now get to own the pair of used and torn-up sneakers that DeMarco wore to the stage in 40 different cities. There were 168 bids by 52 different bidders over the course of a week; clearly the charity has come out the winner with so much money raised.

And although not everyone can own that pair of shoes, DeMarco made sure to keep everyone entertained during the sale by answering some fan inquiries on the questions page of the auction. Check out how some of the conversations went below (and here for the full Q&A bit):
