Macy Gray's new album of covers includes her spin on songs by Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Metallica, Eurythmics and more bands you might not expect the eccentric R&B singer to tackle.

'Covered,' which was recorded at Frank Zappa Studios and drops on March 26, includes Gray's take on Radiohead's 'Creep.' Preview clips on Gray's record label site reveal her 'Creep' to be more of an upbeat, poppy version with strings in the background. She taps into the energy of Arcade Fire's 'Wake Up,' turns the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'Maps' into a bass-heavy soul groove, and re-imagines the Eurythmics 'Here Comes the Rain Again' as an ethereal ballad.

Gray also covers My Chemical Romance, pop singer Colbie Caillat and hip-hop superstar Kanye West. She is working on a video for 'Smoke Two Joints,' the reggae song performed by the Toyes and remade by Sublime, and will promote the album with upcoming appearances on 'Conan' and 'The Late Show with David Letterman.'

Best-known for her Grammy-winning 1999 debut single 'I Try,' Gray has not released an album since 2010's 'The Sellout.'
