We had a moment at Mountain Jam 2016 to catch up with New York experimental pop musicians Marco Benevento and Stuart Bogie (who leads the group Superhuman Happiness), about their two-set David Bowie tribute, which went down on Thursday night (June 2).

As you can see in the video above, Benevento says it was actually his daughters, who dove into Bowie's music after the legend's passing, that helped reactivate Benevento's interest in the music. He also discussed digging into the Who and Rush (as well as plenty of Bowie) as he constructed his new concept album, The Story of Fred Short. Later on, Benevento and Bogie embarked on an extended dialog about the evolution of dance music in America from big live bands to solitary DJs.
