Following the release of 'Sister' last year, Marissa Nadler is back with 'Dead City Emily,' the first single off her upcoming album, 'July,' due out Feb. 4 via Sacred Bones in the U.S. and Feb. 10 on Bella Union in the U.K.

Nadler's vocals sound eerily ethereal in this lullaby-like song, a contrast from the typical guitar-driven folk song. Recording 'July,' the Boston-based singer worked for the first with producer Randall Dunn and enlisted Eyvand Kang, Steve Moore and Phil Wandscher to add strings, synths and guitars, respectively. Whether the haunting vibe makes you nervous or soothes your soul, we're looking forward to hearing else she has up her sleeve with 'July.'
