Though Matt Sucich didn’t officially unveil his latest single, “Mirages,” until a couple of weeks ago, he debuted the song all the way back in March at the Heartbreaker Banquet during SXSW. If you weren’t able to make it out to the Austin music festival, you can now see Sucich perform his latest tune in the video above (via Paste).

Sucich’s set was one of many at the Heartbreaker Banquet, an annual SXSW event held at Willie Nelson’s ranch in Luck, Texas. The New York City-based singer-songwriter recounted the experience in a Facebook post:

“They filmed us in a very hot chapel. In front of a very hot audience. For a very hot film crew,” Sucich writes. “They made these videos all day like a bunch of bad-asses. I’m honored to have played for them and always proud to play music with Sarah & Kiyoshi.”

Sucich recently spoke with us during a recent episode of Diffuser Radio. You can listen to that interview here.

Sucich released his most recent full-length, Layers, back in 2012, following 2011’s Jubilation & Jealousy. The singer also assured fans that there would be more new music on the way soon, writing, “There’s a lot of new music and I promise the next one won’t be such a long wait!”

You can catch Sucich live at a handful of upcoming shows in the New York area, including one at Rockwood Music hall on June 2 and Mercury Lounge on July 22.
