Late last year, singer-songwriter Matt Sucich released his one-off single, “The Lonely Dreamer.” While we anxiously await for what Sucich unveils next, Hooke Audio invited him and his backing band to perform the track at Douglas Street Studios, where it was recorded in Hooke's specialized mobile 3D audio. Check it out in the video above, but be sure to heed the clip’s request and wear headphones -- you’ll immediately hear the difference.

All of a sudden, the song’s layers and varied instrumentation -- Sucich’s expertly plucked guitar, the chiming keyboard -- come to life and it feels like, even though you’re watching from the comfort of your own home, you’re right there in the Brooklyn studio with Sucich and company.

Earlier this month, Sucich recorded two more of his tracks -- "Sentimental & Fearless" and "Mirages" -- at New York’s Electric Lady Studios for the Wild Honey Pie’s Buzzsessions series. Watch those performances here.

In addition to the new Hooke recording, Sucich has announced a show at New York City’s Mercury Lounge with singer Andrew Combs scheduled for April 9. Find more details at this location. A little more than a week ago, Diffuser caught Sucich’s SXSW gig at Willie Nelson’s Heartbreaker Banquet.

Sucich's most recent full-length, Layers, arrived back in 2012.
