The next installment in the ‘Metal Gear’ video game series is on the horizon, bearing the full title ‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.’ An intense, action-packed trailer has been released in anticipation of the new game, and it features Garbage’s haunting tune ‘Not Your Kind of People.’

‘The Phantom Pain’ follows the 2010 release of ‘Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker’ and is the prequel to the original ‘Metal Gear.’ It’s the first game to run on the innovative FOX Engine, and according to a press release via Eurogamer, the trailer “showcases the FOX Engine's exceptional level of visual quality with seamless integration of gameplay and cut scenes."

The song in the background is the title track from Garbage’s fifth studio album, which dropped in May 2012 via their own STUNVOLUME label. Click here to read Diffuser.fm’s review of the disc.

In other news, Shirley Manson and co. recently embarked on a North American tour, set to run through March and April. The full itinerary is available on Garbage's official website.
