Orion is back -- and we're not talking about the classic Metallica song. We're talking about the Orion Music + More Festival, which Metallica are bringing back this June 8 and 9, although this time around, it will be held at Belle Isle in Detroit, Mich. In addition to Metallica, headliners include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Deftones and Bassnectar.

Gogol Bordello, Foals, Tomahawk, the Joy Formidable and Death Grips, plus local Detroit-area bands the Dirtbombs, DEATH and BATTLECROSS, are also among the 30-plus acts slated to appear across five stages. The festival will also feature the Metallica Museum and a "lifestyle element" tied in to each member's many personal interests: James Hetfield's Custom Car & Motorcycle Show; Kirk Hammett's Crypt; Lars Ulrich's Hit the Lights Film Tent; and Robert Trujillo's Vans Vert Ramp.

"Last year's Orion Music + More Festival was hands down the highlight of the Metallica calendar. A great time was had by all, especially the band members," Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich says of Orion 2012 in a statement. "The fact that it also resonated with enough of our fans and friends that it warrants another go-around in '13 is beyond exciting. I can think of no better place than the Motor City, with its rich and diverse history of music, for the second ride on our Orion festival train. Bring it the f--- on!"

The 2012 edition of the Orion Festival was held in Atlantic City, N.J., and featured an eclectic line-up of hard-hitters like Metallica and Suicideal Tendencies alongside indie-centric acts like Arctic Monkeys, Best Coast and Modest Mouse (who got in some hot water after dissing Metallica fans). Expect an expanded scope for everything at the 2013 version: Belle Isle is the largest island city park in the United States.
