Metric have been gearing up for the release of their upcoming album, Pagans in Vegas, and they got a chance to give fans in Brooklyn a taste of the new sounds during their set opening for Imagine Dragons at the Barclays Center on Tuesday (June 30).

With a couple of horse head masks surrounding the drum kit and an interesting light set up, Metric took their places on the stage and quickly jumped into "Stadium Love," which seemed fitting for the venue. Dressed in a short black outfit and green jacket with brown fringe, front woman Emily Haines didn't hold back on the energy. Playing around with her mic stand and continuously jumping, it's no wonder Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds told us back in February that "she’s a great, powerful frontwoman."

Haines demonstrated an unapologetic confidence, which nicely worked with the energy the rest of her bandmates gave off. They didn't only play to the crowd but fed off each other, which led to spontaneous stage choreography. They stuck mostly to singles and performed older gems like "Help I'm Alive" and "Gold Guns Girls." However, they also made sure to promote the material from the new album and performed "Cascades" and the latest single, "The Shade."
