Watch Metric’s Techie Video for ‘Cascade’

Metric brought us some fun electro pop sounds with "The Shade," and now they're continuing that theme with their heart-thumping new video for "Cascade."

Instead of putting themselves in the visual, the Canadian band plays with neon and a switchboard to depict the track that they call "the song we consider the pounding heart of our new album." The synthy tune plays as cords are plugged in and out of various parts of the switchboard that has been labeled with the band's name.

"As always, we encourage you to sing along with the robots. 'Just keep ... going strong ... with whatever it is ... that's compelling you on.' Xo metriclovesyou," Metric wrote in the caption of their YouTube post.

"Cascade" is the new track off the band's upcoming sixth album, Pagans in Vegas, set for release on Sept. 18 via MMI. You can pre-order the album now on iTunes and can instantly download "Cascade" and "The Shade." You can also go to their website to pre-order physical versions of the LP.
