Midnight Oil are back — and they've lined up a lengthy world tour that includes a fairly extended run of North American dates.

"We promised you’d hear the news from us first so here goes — we’ll be touring the world between April and November of this year," reads the band's announcement. "The Great Circle 2017 will begin and end with gigs in our hometown and literally circle our planet in between."

As the announcement goes on to note, fans who want early access to tickets can join the band's mailing list — or use the direct links to purchase passes already on sale via Midnight Oil's official site. "It’s been too long but over the next few months we want to make up for some lost time," concludes the press release. "Hopefully we can share some of it with you."

In addition to the tour, which begins in earnest in South America in late April, Midnight Oil have planned an ambitious reissue campaign for 2017. The Full Tank: Limited Super Deluxe Edition collects all 11 of the group's studio LPs plus bonus material; The Vinyl Collection Deluxe Box Set puts their catalog on remastered vinyl and adds a pair of EPs, and The Over Flow Tank: Limited Super Deluxe DVD Box Set offers up 12 discs and "over 14 hours of previously unreleased and currently unavailable sound and vision." All the boxes are available to pre-order now.
