With an overriding 'film noir' approach, Mini Mansions deliver the video for their new single, 'Death Is a Girl.' The influence of early '80s pop and new wave dominates the catchy little ditty, and the band explains it this way: "The video is a neo-noir mix of sex, death, and psychedelic interrogation techniques, only used in purgatory facilities disguised as 1970s police holding tanks."

Mini Mansions were the first signing by T Bone Burnett to his new Electromagnectic Recordings label. The legendary producer snapped up the band, who has at least one familiar face in their ranks: Drummer Michael Shuman, who may be better known to most as the bassist for Queens of the Stone Age.

Among the guests featured on their forthcoming album, 'The Great Pretenders,' are Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys and Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson. While that might seem like an odd pairing, after watching the video and grooving to the song, it might not seem all that far fetched after all.

Gearing up for 'The Great Pretenders,' Mini Mansions are hitting the road for a European tour with dates that include the Raveonettes and Royal Blood.

The new LP is set for release in early 2015.
