On Thursday (July 23), Minor Victories unveiled "Film One," a short movie of sorts featuring new music from the band's upcoming debut. Composed of Slowdive's Rachel Goswell, Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite and Editors' Justin Lockey, among others, Minor Victories have an ominous sound that will be unleashed on the new album (which will also feature a collaboration with Mark Kozelek). You can get your first taste of what to expect in "Film One" in the player above.

As explained in the video's description on Pitchfork's YouTube channel, "Film One" is "just the first hello" from Minor Victories:

This is Minor Victories - film one. You could call it a teaser trailer? Album trailer? album trailer teaser? Stripteaser trailer teaser? Super internet trailer of tease based on an album? Long player teaser moviefilm? The prequel to the sequel to the adaptation based on the remake of the original teaser...trailer...?

It's not really any of the above... Just the first hello.

Judging by the title of the new video, we're guessing -- and hoping -- Minor Victories will be rolling out more "films" as we get closer and closer to the release of their record (no date set yet). You can keep up with everything happening in the supergroup's world on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
