Days after being hospitalized for a "suspected bladder infection," Morrissey has been given a definitive diagnosis. Moz is suffering from a bleeding ulcer, Billboard reports, and while that has led to more show cancellations, the singer is expected to make a full recovery.

"Morrissey apologizes greatly for any and all inconvenience and looks forward to continuing his U.S. tour," said a rep for the former Smiths frontman, promising that rescheduled dates will be announced within days.

Last week, Morrissey postponed three shows, citing "band illness," and it was later revealed that he'd been taken to a hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. He's now scrapped six additional gigs -- bumming out his eternally bummed-out fans in Asheville, N.C.; Nashville, Tenn.; Atlanta, Ga.; Lawrence, Kans.; Clear Lake, Iowa; and Lincoln, Neb. -- and will remain out of commission until Feb. 9, when the tour resumes in Las Vegas.
