Morrissey is the latest act to join this year’s Nobel Peace Prize concert roster, which also includes Mary J Blige, James Blunt, Jake Bugg and Omar Souleyman. ‘Homeland’ actress Claire Danes will host the event at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway on Dec. 11.

Hopefully, the former Smiths frontman's appearance at the concert won’t get “euthanized” due to issues that have plagued his concerts as of late. The singer's reasons for recent concert cancellations have ranged from his poor health to lack of funding.

If Morrissey’s performance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert does go as planned, we can only hope he graces attendees with his thoughts on the royal family, “political fluffheads” and hunting, as he is wont to do.
