Mumford and Sons tapped former 'The Wire' star Idris Elba to both direct and star in their video for 'Lover of the Light,' the band's latest single off their sophomore album, 'Babel.' The clip, co-directed by Dan Cadan, was shot in Pembrokeshire, Wales, and marks the first time Elba, who played  Rusell "Stringer" Bell on 'The Wire,' has directed.

"We are, quite obviously, huge fans of Idris Elba's acting work, as pretty much anyone can agree he's the most badass British actor since Richard Briers," the band said in a statement. "So we trusted him as the director for our latest video." And it's a good thing that they did, as you will see above.
