Mumford and Sons returned to the Saturday Night Live stage last night (April 11) and performed "The Wolf" and "Believe" from their upcoming album, Wilder Mind.

From the moment the spotlight revealed the band on stage, Mumford and Sons looked refreshed and, more importantly, ready to share their brand new music with the world -- in the same way they did at their recent club gig in New York City.

"The Wolf," which you can watch above, is a clear sign of the band's departure from their signature sound; from the harder guitar riffs to the pounding drums, the track perfectly portrays Mumford and Sons' evolution since 2012's Babel. 

With "Believe," the band slows down a bit, but they still capture their powerful anthemic vibe. Check out the performance below:

After performing on SNL, the guys shared some news this morning (April 12) and revealed a clip from the new video for "The Wolf," which is set to drop on Monday:
