Muse's straightforward logo, which takes several alternate forms but usually features the band's name spelled out in bold, black capital letters with horizontal black bars running across the top and bottom, has been around since appearing on the cover of their self-titled EP in 1998. Muse fans have mythologized a poster for a band called Muse with a similar design that appeared in the Bruce Willis sci-fi flick '12 Monkeys' as the logo's origins, although it's not known if it is indeed the same band.
