In a few recent Instagram posts, eclectic sci-fi rockers Muse have confirmed the name of their upcoming new album to be titled 'Drones,' courtesy of the hashtag #MuseDrones. You can check out the posts, which appear to be of magazine covers that the band shot with the words and their eyes blacked out, below.

We had previously learned that the band was in the process of working on a new album late last year, which was followed by another cryptic studio video clip update which you can check out below as well. (Although that clip mentions the title 'Drones,' it was not confirmed by the band at that time.)

The new record will serve as the band's seventh overall studio album, and the follow-up to 2012's 'The 2nd Law' which was produced by Matt Lange of AC/DC. It is due out later this year. Frontman Matt Bellamy has stated that the album's themes would include "deep ecology, the empathy gap and World War 3." Sounds about right. The band, who many think will headline Glastonbury this year, has also suggested the possibility of a follow-up track to 'Citizen Erased,' a song that appeared on 'Origin Of Symmetry.'
